Omar Visquel wins the game in his last at bat at Fenway

It was a very nice day at Fenway today except that the infield dirt was still wet and it was tough for the Jays to get into the running game. In the ninth inning in a 3-3 game the sun had dried up the dirt and it was go time against starter Clay Buckholz who after Rajai Davis singled with one out he lost his focus and totally paid attention to Rajai Davis who after a tone of throws to first Rajai finally got his jump and stole second and Anthony Gose singled him to third and this is when Bobby Valentine finally got his bullpen up and working and he came out to talk to Buckholz who was ready to leave and tried to give the ball to him but Valentine did not want it. So Anthony Gose took second on indifference and they walked Kelly Johnson to load the bases for Omar Visquel who was playing in his 87 game at Fenway and most likely last at bat at Fenway he got the game winning RBI sac fly and the Jays won 4-3. In the bottom of the ninth Casey Janssen came in to try and hold down his 20 save of the season and on a 1-0 pitch to James Loney to start the inning he singled and that brought Cody Ross to the plate and on a 0-1 pitch he crushed a ball that had a very good chance of being a game-winning homer but it went just foul and on the seventh pitch of the at bat Janssen k'd Ross. When Ross went back to the dugout he did his best Mr. Perfect impersonation by spitting the gum out of mouth and swat it with his bat and then Janssen settled down and got a fly ball from Jacoby Ellsbury to Colby Rasmus in center field and then a pop up in foul ground by Yorvit Torrealba to end the game of the bat of Mike Aviles. The Jays got three runs thanks to the bottom of their lineup in the fourth with the Soxs up 2-0 as Jeff Mathis opened the scoring with a RBI single and then Omar Visquel got another sac fly to tie up the game at 2 and then Adeiny Hechavarria finished off the inning as he singled to left field and then got caught in-between first and second and Jeff Mathis scored as Hechavarria was caught in the run down and it gave the Jays a 3-2 lead. Carlos Villanueva bounced back from the nightmare of a game at the Rogers centre last Tuesday against the O's when it rained on him and the roof did not close and the mound was muddy and he ended up given up 6 runs as he went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs on 7 hits with 2 walks and 2 ks. It was two of his hits he gave up that costed him as he gave up two homers as Jacoby Ellsbury with one of the walks on in the second inning hit a ball into the bullpen in right field and then a Dustin Pedroia solo shot in the sixth inning with one out was a no doubter. Clay Buckholz went 8.2 inning and gave up 4 runs on 7 hits with 3 walks and 4 ks and just fell victim of Bobby Valentine not being ready for him to need backup. Jays have won 6 in a row at Fenway Tom Mehegan
