Jays bullpen unable to stop Yankees

Henderson Alvarez went six inning and he gave up two runs on 7 hits did k 4 Yanks and did not walk a batter and did pitch very well and he did battle and the worst pitch he throw was to Eric Chavez to start the third given up a solo homer and gave a double to Robertson Cano and a single to Nick Swisher and then Alvarez throw a wild pitch as he was pitching to Curtis Granderson and Cano scored on it. When Farrell went to the bullpen for the seventh and the Jays were up 5-2 and usually it would be a shutdown for bullpen and the Jays would usually win the game but today he went to the bullpen for Brett Cecil who gave up a single to Eduardo Nunez and then Steve Delabar came in and gave two doubles and a walk with the only out he recorded was Ichiro RBI sac fly to the four batters he faced including a Robertson Cano RBI double. Then Arron Loup came in to face Nick Swisher with one out and he throw a wild pitch to score A-Rod to tie the game at 5 and then Loup got Swisher to hit the ball to Yunel Escobar who caught the ball on the fly and doubled up Cano at thid to end the inning. In the eighth Darren Oliver came in and walked Curtis Granderson and then a single to Raul Ibanez before being lifted for Brandon Lyon who got three outs during his four batters as the Yanks scored a run on a sac fly by Eduardo Nunez and Derek Jeter singled home a run and the Yanks take a 7-5 lead. Finally Farrell brought in Jason Frasor to hopefully get a one, two, three inning and give the Jays a chance to comeback in the bottom of the inning but instead Frasor allowed the first four batters to reach and Curtis Granderson singled in two as Frasor gave up three singles and a walk and then got a pop up and a k before Chad Beck came in to retire Eduardo Nunez to end the nightmare. In the end the bullpen allowed 7 runs on 8 hits and walked three batters during the final three innings and lead to the Yanks splitting the four game series with a 9-6 victory and it was the worst bullpen performance by the Jays since Casey Janssen into the closer rule on May 9Th. The Jays got a performance from Brett Lawrie who went 3 for 5 with a two-run homer that broke the game open in the fifth inning to make it 4-1 Jays as the Jays put up a three run fifth. Lawrie also showed that he needed to take a split second to set his feet as he in the third got a ground ball both Robinson Cano and Nick Swiaher to get the final out in the inning but the first attempt he over thow Adam Lind at first and then on Swisher's ball he bounced it into the dirt and Lind dug it out to end the inning. Need to win the last three games to be 50/50 at home simply horrible Tom Mehegan
