Jays blow up really good in the seventh and eighth
The Jays blow up really good in the second half of the game as they gave up 12 runs after the fourth as Carlos Villanueva faced 12 batters over the first four innings given up only a single that was erased by a double play hit by Manny Machado. After rhe fourth the O's put up 12 runs on 17 hits and went on to win 12-0 and it began with Carlos Villanueva given up a three-run homer to Mark Reynolds to give them a 3-0 lead and Carlos gave up a sac fly RBI by Nate McLouth in the sixth and a sac fly RBI to Robert Andino in the seventh before leaving. Carlos went 6.2 inning and gave up a 6 runs on 7 hits with a walk and 6ks and then Arron Loup had his worst outing as a Jay as he faced 6 batters and only got one out and even balked home Carlos's last run of his outing and the four of the other 5 batters scored as he finished off the three-run seventh and began the 5 run eighth ans the seventh and eighth really blow up the game putting up 8 runs in those two innings with the key hits being RBI doubles by Chris Davis and Nick Markakis while RBI singles by Mark Reynolds, Manny Machado, Nate McLouth, and J.J. Hardy.
The O's got lots of hits from Chris Davis, Nick Markakis, Mark Reynolds, and Manny Machado combined for 12 of the O's 18 hits with three each and Mark Reynolds had four RBIs of the 11 RBIs in the game.
The Jays only had 4 hits and only 3 hits last night and Zach Britton went 7 innings and gave up 4 hits and 2 walks and k'd 8 Jays and rhe O's have now 9 wins against the Jays in the first 13 games this season.
