Henderson Alvarez does not get his way and loses his focus
Henderson Alvarez gave up a single and walk in the second and that was all he gave up before going to the fourth and then it all fell apart and it started with a walk to J.J. Hardy on a very close pitch where after it he went behind the mound throw up his arms and then stepped back on the mound and threw up a lop ball to Adam Jones and he tattooed it a long long way for a two-run homer to open the scoring. Ryan Flaherty got a hold of a 1-0 pitch and hit it barely into the Orioles to open the fifth and then in the sixth he loaded the bases before he got a ground ball and went for the double play instead shortening up the infield and getting the out at home and Alvarez left the game with 4 runs on 8 hits with 3 walks along with 6 ks of the O's and he gave up 4 runs on 7 hits and a walk after the pitch he wanted and did not get it.
The Jays lost 4-1 and left two runners on in the first, second, and fourth inning and had their chances and did not score against Steve Johnson who gave up 3 hits and 3 walks and k'd 6 Jays over 5 innings. The Jays got a finally chance in the eighth inning with two outs and did not hit the ball hard as Edwin Encarnacion had a infield hit and Adam Lind broke his bat on a soft single and then Rajai Davis hit a ball over J.J. Hardy's head to score a run and Kelly Johnson struck out to end the inning being the tying run against Darren O'Day.
Edwin Encarnacion struck out their three at bats
