Toronto Blue Jays - 12 - 13 - The Jays win 3 of 4 in Arlington and get a scare from Jose Bautista

The Blue Jays got a huge scary moment in the top of the 7 inning when Rangers Pedro Strop lost control of one of his pitches and it went sailing at Jose Bautista's head and he thankfully got his arms up to protect himself and the ball hit off his wrist and went down wincing in pain but stayed in the game after a minute for collecting his thoughts. He then went and drove for a ball and made a catch in the 8 inning off the bat of Michael Young so lets hope that Bautista will be OK.

Brandon Morrow pitched 6 innings and had a runner on every inning but only gave up a single run in the first and another in the third innings and gave up 6 hits and a walk while striking out 6 batters. While the Rangers starter Alexi Ogando pitched 6 innings have given up 4 hits and 3 walks along with 7 strike outs and he had one pitch in the first inning that he wanted back so after Bautista walked which brought Adam Lind to the plate and socked his 4th homer of the season and 3rd of the series to give the Jays a 2-0 lead.

So it was tied going into the 7th inning where the bullpen took over for both teams and it was still tied @ 2 going into the 9 inning and the Rangers brought in Darren Oliver and it blow up real good for Oliver and for the Rangers defense as after Jose Morlina grounded out for the first out of the inning. Darren Oliver gave up a single to Johnny Mac, Yanuel Escobar came off the bench and got a single himself, then Cory Patterson got bunt single and Johnny Mac scored to give the Jays the lead, and Jose Bautista walked to load the bases as the Jays got 4 straight batters reaching base. Then Adam Lind struck out to make it 2 outs and then the fielding went to sleep as Juan Rivera hit the ball to Adrian Beltran and the ball eat him up and Yanuel scored to make it 4-2 and while the play was still not finished Bautista wondered off second base and Oliver throw it towards second and it went onto the outfield grass and Cory Patterson scored to make it 5-2.

For the Jays Frank Fransisco came in for the last out of the 8 inning and struck out last night hero Mitch Moreland to be the winning pitch and then in the 9 he struck out 2 the first batters of the inning before getting Julio Borbon to line out to Lind @ first to end the game and give the Jays 3 of 4 in Arlington.

There are probably a few Jays hitters like Juan Rivera and Adam Lind that really do not feel like leaving Texas as they swinging lot hotter bats than they had coming into the 4 game series but now the Jays head to meet division leader Yankees in NYC for 3 games and will meet Freddy Gracia with his 1-0 record and his 0.69 in 3 outings this season including 2 starts where he did not give up a run in 6 innings both times so it is going to be interesting tomorrow night.

Bring on the Yankees
