The Blue jays had their first 4 batters got on base with Lind got the most painful RBI in his career as he got hit by the pitch and then Hill and Encarnacion both got to sacrifice fly and Snider got on base by an error while Juan Rivera was the first Blue Jay to be retired with an official abat and the Jays took control of the game and never looked back. J.P. Arencibia went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 5 rbis with a triple and as Cito is not the manager anymore J.P. will not be on the bench for the next month which he faced after his major league debut where he did something similar to what he did tonight. Jose Bautista and Adam Lind went back to back with homers in the 7th inning and Adam Lind ended up with 2 hits in 4 official atbats with 3 rbis which is much better than his start last season and Bautista had 3 hits in 4 official atbats. Ricky Romero had a solid game until the 7th innings where gave up his 3 runs and he did give up 7 hits but like 3 of them were in this inning and he struck out 7 and had 60 strikes -to- 36 which is pretty good for a first start of the season and the bullpen of Janssen, Frasor, and Villanueva faced 9 batters in their 2.2 innings pitched as Frasor was the only to let a batter on base as he gave up a single. Also this is a rare occasion as the Blue Jays fell just short of 49,000 fans and actually performed very well because usually when it is a big crowd the Jays would wilt like a flower even when Roy Halladay faced A.J. Barnett on my 32 birthday back on May 12th, 2009 and Halladay won the game it was like a 1-0 game so it hard for the Jays and it is surprising to see only 49,000 as the attendance because I heard like beginning of the week at it was sold out but the Stadium seats a few thousand over 50 when it is packed for baseball.
Great beginning with a 11-3 drubbing of the Twins lets keep it rolling with Kyle tomorrow and I know I said I be there but I will not be
