Blue Jays - 9 -11 - Brandon Morrow and David Price had a good pitching duel

So it was Brandon Morrow first start of the season and he had little bit of nervous energy inside of him so he gave a walk to Samuel Fuld and then Johnny Damon stretched his hitting streak to 12 games in a big way with a 2 run dinger to give the Rays a quick 2-0 lead but then Brandon settled down as he struck out the next three batters in order and would end up striking 10 in 5.1 innings and only gave up a Stacey Kotchman along with a single to Samuel Fuld and then a walk to him in the 5 inning before striking out Johnny Damon and he was the last batter he faced.

The Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher David Price had one big problem until the 9 inning and that was Jose Bautista who hit 2 home runs off him and then during the game he got some great defense behind him as he p[itched 8 + innings and gave up 4 runs on 8 hits with 2 walks and struck out 5 batters.

Then the pitcher penciled in for Tuesday start against the Texas Rangers Carlos Villanueva came in and was off completely as he walked the first batter he faced Matt Joyce and then he faced Ben Zobrist who crushed a 1-1 pitch into the second deck to give the Rays a 5-2 lead and made Morrow the pitcher of record and then the Rays got an insurance run when Johnny Damon grounded a ground ball that Jays could not turn the double play and hit batter Sean Rodriguez by Casey Janssen scored.

In the bottom of the 9th Jose Bautista singled, Adam Lind doubled him in, Jose Molina singled and then Kyle Farnsworth came in for Price and gives up a single to Juan Rivera that drove in Adam Lind. Then the turning point of the game happened when Travis Snider but down a bunt and may of been safe at first but the umpire called him out and the big thing that happened was Farnsworth coming off the mound and injuring himself and then gets extra pitches to see if he was OK and it refocused him while the Jays got cooled down the Rays got the next two batters out and the Rays won 6-4 with the tying run stuck at second base with both Johnny Mac and the returning Mike McCoy at the plate and they both grounded out.

Brandon Morrow pitched so well and David Price had a very good outing, and Bautista is warming up earlier than last season
