Jays beat down the O's as friends hopefully enjoyed going to the game with me
Me and my friends went to the Jays game together tonight and was a Jays beat down on the O's for eight innings as like David Copper walk up song stated "can't stop" and that was what the Jays did with their bats as can'y beating up the baseball to the tune of 12 hits as Kelly Johnson was nearly a single away from a cycle as he could of turned his first inning into a triple if went all out as he went 3 of 4 with a two-run homer. The Jays can't stop putting up runs in the first four innings as Colby Rasmus had a RBI single in the first, Kelly Johnson had a RBI ground out in the second, Edwin Encarnacion hit a two-run homer in the third, and Kelly Johnson had a two-run homer in the fourth and took a 6-0 all the to the top of the ninth.
All the Jays starters got a hit except Jose Bautista with David Cooper and Colby Rasmus both had two-hits in the game and Tommy Hunter gave up 6 runs (5 earned) on 9 hits in three plus inning and really could not do anything right.
Jays starter Drew Hutchison pitched 7 shutout innings but he did have his hiccup inning which was the third inning where he gave up three walks and a single but with the help of catcher Jeff Mathis who throw a throw down to third as O's runner on second Chris Davis was in no man's land and was caught in a run down and after loading the bases on walks but he fielded his position on a Nick Markakis ground ball up the middle and git him out with a throw to Cooper to end the inning. Hutchison gave up three hits and 4 walks and k'd and he had it smooth the the other 6 innings as he throw 57 of his 91 pitches in those innings for strikes (62.6%) but in the third inning he throw 8 of his 23 pitches for strikes (34.7%).
One of my friends got a lot worried of disaster in the ninth and a little bored along with not watching any more of Francisco Cordero who faced 5 batters and four of them hit the into play which were all hits and he gave up two runs and my friends left the game. Thankfully Casey Janssen was ready to come in and closed the door on the O's picking up the save as he got Robert Andino to line out softly to Kelly Johnson and on the next pitch he got Nick Johnson to hit a ground ball to Cooper who tossed to Janssen to end the game and give the Jays a 6-2 victory.
I took a lot of ribbing with popcorn in my beard and that I am simply naturally loud and that is why I like to go to baseball games and that is a diffidently a fun part of the game.
I saw Omar Vizquel comw out of gate 7 and hand a lady a bat and balls in a plastic bag for some sort of auction that was cool
