Francisco Cordero is unlikely to make it to the twin cities with the Jays

In the first save opportunity in a week Francisco Cordero came in and just could not throw strikes as he throw eight straight balls to load the bases in the ninth inning and then with one and tied ball game @ 3 and then Brandon Inge a lofty .146 this season (as his second team of the season as he was waived by the Tigers already) took him deep for a grand slam to give the A's a 7-3 victory. Cordero came into the bottom of the ninth with a 3-2 lead after Eric Thames hustled around the bases hitting a ball of the wall and ending up with a triple and Kelly Johnson had two out single to drive him in in the top of the inning and Cordero gives up a lead off double and with one and the run at third is very lucky that the runner did not come home on a wild pitch but Cliff Pennington got the job done for the A's with a RBI single. Francisco Cordero has now blown 3 of his 5 save opportunities and has not looked pretty at all doing it either as he has given up 20 hits in only 11.3 inning pitched and seriously not be surprised at all to hear by game time tomorrow afternoon that he has been sent for an assignment meaning anywhere but here. Ricky Romero was playing with fire all evening as he walked five batters in his six innings and really struggled to find the strike zone as he throw only 61 of his 110 pitches for strikes which is 55% and to think that Romero throw 110 pitches over 6 inning in quite amazing and not in a good way as that is 18.3 pitches an inning and that's not Romero. The only good things were that he only gave up four hits and only one walk really was damaging as he walked Jemile Weeks in the fifth inning as he stole second base and got into Ricky's head and Ricky throw a pitch did not want too to Josh Reddick who sent it to the second deck in the outfield seats a two-run homer to match Kelly Johnson's two-run homer in the third inning. Ricky had lots of problems with Weeks as he lead off the game with a double and Ricky tried to pick him off of second and throw the ball into the outfield and it was one the three errors on the blue jays as they really have not been the same in the last 14 games after sweeping the Royals and heading to Baltimore to meet the O's. The best part of tonight's game is the next is in 15 hours Tom Mehegan
