Drew Hutchison got the job done while Bautista went yard
Jose Bautista hit his 10th homer at target field and it was a game winning shot in the sixth inning as the Jays won 2-1 against the Twins in a much better pitching duel than the night before. Bautista had two more hits in the game as he is still hitting under .200 (.197) but he still got 8 homers and 18 RBIs in the Jays 34 games. Colby Rasmus had two hits in the game while Lind, Johnson, and Escobar.
Drew Hutchison pitched 6 innings and only gave one run on 3 hits but he lost his strike zone in the fourth inning where he gave up two walks including walking home a run and he also gave up two singles as well and he pitched well the other five innings as he gave up a double to Brian Dozier along with two more walks. The Bullpen pitched well as they pitched three innings of two hit ball along with two more walks including Francisco Cordero who pitched an inning and did not give up a run but still did give up a single and a walk while Casey Janssen pitched another 1-2-3 ninth inning and it is nice that Janssen is able to close the game so well and is now 2 of 3 closing this season after coming into the season with 9 of 16.
P.J. Walters pitched 6 inning and gave up two runs on 6 hits and 5 Ks while the Bullpen pitched three innings and gave up only a single and it was a great pitching match-up.
The Jays sends Ricky Ro to the mound for mother's day and attempt to have a winning road trip
