Tim Wakefield won his 200th game after David Ortiz gave a wake up call to his teammates when he said "At this point you panic -- hell, yeah" and they came out and dismantle the Blue Jays 18-6 and the Jays where ahead 3-2 after inning and a half and a 5-4 after 3 innings played. Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia had 4 hits each and Ellsbury had three RBIs and a homer while Pedroia had five RBIs and two homers in the game. Jarrod Saltalamacchia had four RBIs in the game and it he had a three run double and Tim Wakefield pitched 6 innings and gave up 5 runs on 6 hits with 2 walks and 6Ks and he was hurt by homers by J.P. (23) who had a three run homer after a review and Jose Bautista (42) hit a two homer and David Cooper had three of the ten hits the Blue Jays had and had the last Jays RBI. Brandon Morrow pitched 5.1 innings and gave up 7 runs (5 earned) on 7 hits with a walk and 2Ks as David Cooper had an throwing error that allowed two runs to score and Luis Perez gave up three runs on four hits including a three run homer to Dustin Pedroia without getting an out. Brad Mills gave up three runs on two hits and a walk and did not record an out and Danny Farquhar made his major league debut and it will be a thing to forget as he gave up four runs (3 earned) on three hits and two walks in a 0.2 inning pitch. The Soxs sent 11 batters to the the plate and they scored 7 runs on 5 hits and three walks and it took a 11-5 gave and made it 18-5 before David Cooper had his RBI double.
Tim Wakefield debuted on July 31st and had a 8-1 record in his debut season and after two failed seasons followed by in 1995 Red Soxs took a flyer on him and has pitched with them for the last 17 seasons and has had two 17 win seasons and two 16 win seasons and has 186 of his 200 wins with Boston and helped them break the Babe's curse in '04 and won another world series 2007 in that season he won 17 games in the regular season.
