The first of today's game was Brandon Morrow who throw 8 innings of four hit shutout with a walk and 8Ks and throw 107 pitches in the game and if U look deeper U will see that after two innings he had given up 3 hits and a walk on 39 pitches. Then in the next 6 innings the Yankees got two singles from Eduardo Nunez as he had 3 of the Yankees four hits in the game and Morrow retired 18 straight batters including Jose Bautista throwing to first when Nunez went to far rounding first base on his sixth inning single and was a dead duck at second before Nunez singled with two outs in the eighth.Brandon ended up throwing 68 pitches in his last 6 innings on the mound and kept the patient Yankees bats off guard with consistently throwing first ball strikes and he did amazing in the last daytime home game for the Blue Jays in 2011 after being horrible during day games all season.
The Second Star was Adam Lind who in the second inning hit his 25th homer of the season to open the inning off Freddie Garcia and give the Jays a 1-0 lead and with one out in the fourth he hit his 26th homer of the season also off Freddie Garcia and it was the first two hits that Garcia gave up in the game.
The third Star was Eric Thames who had a sac fly in the sixth inning to give the Jays a 3-0 win after he made some brilliant plays in the out field and it was before he fouled a ball off that ended up hitting his eye and split it but he still can see out of it and will be day to day.
Frank Francisco picked up his 16 save in 20 attempts and John Farrell said after the game that they will look into all future decisions including Francisco's in the off season and the Jays ended their 18 games with the Yankees with a 7 win and 11 losses and with three against the Rays still to go the Jays are 32-37 against the AL East this season.
