Ricky Romero and the Rookies are amazing

Ricky Romero came into the game with a 2 and 6 record and an ERA of 8.08 his career against the Red Soxs and tonight he went into the seventh inning working on a three hit shutout with two walks and then in the seventh he walked Jason Varitek with one out and he could of kept his three hit shutout. So with two outs Yunel Escobar had a choice and may of realized it and the choices were to toss to second to get the catcher Varitek or try and get speedy Darnell McDonald at first and he choose first McDonald was safe which lead to a Jacoby Ellsbury RBI double on the next pitch which was Romero's last as he pitched 6.2 and gave up 3 runs on 5 hits with 3 walks and K'd 7 Soxs as Casey Janssen gave up a two run single to Marco Scutaro to give him 11 hits in the series.

Then what was almost as good as Romero were the rookies and they were lead by David Cooper and his triple A batting tittle who made his return tonight after being sent down May 15 with a batting average of 121 (4 for 33) in 13 games with 5 RBIs and he returned in style with a 3 for 4 game with two doubles and two RBIs. Brett Lawrie went 2 for 4 in the game and is now hitting 330 while Eric Thames made use of his one hit as he hit his 10th homer which came right after the Soxs put up their three and J.P. had the big hit of the game as he rocked his 22Nd homer of the season and it was a three run shot which was apart of the Jays four run second inning which came right after David Cooper's first RBI that scored Lawrie. Edwin Encarnacion hit a solo shot his 16th of the season that helped the Jays take a 7-3 lead into the ninth where Frank Francisco came into the game in a non save opportunity where he gave up a lead off homer to Jason Varitek and then it lead to it coming down to Francisco and Dustin Pedroia who was the tying run and Francisco struck him out and Dustin was happy to leave Toronto as he finished 1 for 20 with 5Ks.
