Brandon Morrow pitched very well while Price was his own worse enemy

Brandon Morrow pitched 7 innings and he throw 29 pitches in the first inning and he walked two and K'd the side and throw 19 pitches and k'd the side again and he and first baseman David Cooper messed up and Matt Joyce got a single as neither Jay knew who was supposed to get the ball and who was supposed to cover first to along with another walk and he throw 48 pitches over the first two innings. In the next four inning he throw 43 pitches and only hit Evan Longoria in his rib cage and another walk and it was apart of retiring 14 of 16 hitters before the Rays got their second hit Casey Kotchman and Morrow had a two hit shutout with 9K's and 4 walks but the most surprising part of Morrow's performance was that he got a double play on a ground ball by Desmond Jennings and it was the first double play behind Morrow in 30 starts while David Cooper throw high to Mike McCoy which should of been another double in the seventh inning.

David Price was own worse enemy in the third inning with one on and one out David Cooper hit the ball straight to Price who turned and throw the ball to second and it into the outfield and after a McCoy singled to loaded the bases Eric Thames hit the ball to Price who throw it wildly home and it went over the catcher head and two runs scored to open the scoring. Kelly Johnson had a RBI single and then to lead off the sixth inning hit his 21st homer of the season and in between Eric Thames had a RBI single and the Jays had a 5-0 lead.

In the eighth B.J. Upton walked off Joel Carreno and then it got interesting as Upton tried to steal second and was caught stealing as the ball meet Kelly Johnson's glove and Upton's foot at the same time and he was tagged before it reached the base but the other leg eas ahead of it and may of reached the base first and Upton was upset and was quickly ejected from the game. In the ninth Luis Perez came in and he really needs to get his confidence back as he had given up 18 runs in his last 5 appearances and this time he walked Johnny Damon to start the inning and with two outs the Rays broke the shutout when Matt Joyce had a RBI single and then Sean Rodriguez ground out to David Cooper to end the game.

In other news Adam Lind arrived in the middle of the night arrived in Tampa with his team in the middle of the night and at 5 AM he got on a plane again to get back to Toronto to be with his wife who is still expecting their first baby.
