Brett Lawrie falls a triple short of the cycle as he now has a 9 game hitting streak

So Brett Lawrie went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs that was the difference in the 8-6 Jays win in the rubber match and he was the one who was looking for that triple to get the cycle today and now has a 9 game hitting streak batting 389 (14 for 36) with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. While Kelly Johnson really loved playing in Baltimore as he hit second homer as a Blue Jay in as many nights which a solo shot and had 3 more hits as hit 462 (6 for 13) with two homers and 4 RBIs and Yunel Escobar went 4 for 5 today with 2 RBIs while hit 600 in the lead off spot (9 for 15) with 3 RBIs in the three game series. Then there id the middle of the order today (two through five in the order) where a combined 1 for 19 with 2 RBIs to with a walk and 3Ks as Bautista had the only hit a RBI single in the third which had followed a RBI ground out by Eric Thames but they also had all 3 Ks (Bautista 2 and Thames 1). J.P. end the series batting 500 (6 for 12) with a 3 RBIs including a RBI double for his only hit today. While Luis Perez just did not have the right stuff today as he gave up 5 runs on 6 hits with 3 walks and 6 Ks and he was still pounding the strike zone but when he left three pitches in the wrong spots he got hurt by them as Matt Wieters had a RBI double and then Valdi and Matt Wieters went back to back homers in the Fourth and by the time he got to the sixth he was gassed in the inning as he throw 6 pitches to Nick Markakis and 8 to Adam Jones before Vadi had a two run double and then left after walking Matt Wieters. Valdi was an one man wrecking machine for the Orioles tonight as he went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs while Matt Wieters and Robert Andino both had two hits and were the only other Orioles to have hits as they had 7 hits in the game compared to the Jays 13.

Jon Rauch came in and had a clean eighth inning and then Frank Francisco came in and started off not being able to find the plate as he fell behind 3 and 0 and had Carlos Villanueva warming behind him before fighting back against Robert Andino and getting him to fly out Mike McCoy in center and then got J.J.Hardy and Nick Markakis to ground out and don't look now he has 12 saves and 14 straight scoreless innings and I hope the Jays don't get duked by it.

On to the BIG APPLE with the Jays big three on the mound
