Jays have cost themselves too many games by leaving runners in scoring position as Buehrle is likely on his way out Chi town on a winning note

Henderson Alvarez pitched another good game ended up with another loss and his record is 1 and 3 with a ERA of 3.53 and has K'd 40 and walked 8 batters in his 9 starts this season and the Jays are looking at a losing season with a lose tomorrow or a 50/50 season with a win. Alvarez pitched 7 innings and gave up 2 runs on 7 hits with 6Ks and a solo homer to Tyler Flowers in the second inning and it is back-to-back games of him hitting a second inning homer to put the Soxs in the lead and the other happened in the sixth inning when A.J. Pierzynski hit a RBI single and the runner trying to score could of been gunned down at the plate but Jose Molina was out of position as he was on the first base side of the plate and brought his glove over the plate to catch the ball and dived for the runner and if he was on the plate the runner would been out.

The Whit Soxs starter was Mark Buehrle in what is maybe his last start as a White Soxs and he got in his 21 outs 10 ground balls with two double plays and 6 Ks and a pop up by J.P. to the catcher, a Butista fly out, and J.P. lined to short but the Jays had a hit in six of the seven innings and had two runners on in the third and seventh but did not score a run against Buehrle. Buehrle gave up 6 hits to go with his 6 Ks and he did not give up a single walk and is now going to be a free agent and Boston and New York Yankees will be knocking at his door very quickly but he would be a great role model for the Jays starters if the cards he right and yes it is not going to happen.

The Jays in the eighth Mike McCoy tried to wake the bats up with a lead off homer for the Jays only run and Eric Thames followed with a walk and after Ks of Bautista and Lind Thames ran into the third out trying to steal second and it was bad timing by someone. In the ninth after Ks of Jose Molina and Colby Rasmus J.P. singled and Farrell went to the bench for Chris Woodward who hit it hard to third and was thrown out but the question is why not let David Cooper hit because the pitcher Chris Sale opponents batting average is about the same against the rights or lefts this season.

The Jays have 307 hits with runners in scoring position this season and batting .237 and 35 of them are jacks and 525 runs scored in 1296 at bats to go with 192 walks and 310 Ks and end up with an on base percentage of .329. This lead to the fact that the Jays do not have enough batters that can actually hit instead of just bombers and that begins with a new hitting game plans which starts with a new hitting coach.
