Carlos Villanueva replaces Brain Tallet on the roaster as there are a few September call ups

Brain Tallet was designated for assignment after last night when he made his return to the Blue Jays and was put into a no win situation as he was asked to close down the game and he had five save opportunity and blow each one and he did again last night.

He had 25 starts in 2009 and was 7 and 8 and had 15 starts of at least 6 inning and then saw shot down for a dead arm for 16 days in the middle of July and now he is being sent out and will be replaced by Carlos Villanueva who has done the same thing this season that Tallet did in 2009 by starting 13 games and had 7 straight starts of at least 6 innings and had a 5-3 record as a starter along with starting with a 3 and 0 record as a starter and then missed four weeks because of a dead arm. He will go back to the bullpen for the reminder of the season.

It is weird that they did not wait like 12 hours to bring Carlos back up from Triple A were he was warming up his arm again and tomorrow the Jays will take Jon Rauch off the 15 day DL while there will also be a Dustin McGowan sighting to see if he has the chance to get anywhere near the starting rotation next season or if next seasons he will be in the Jays bullpen as he has a 1.90 ERA in 23.2 inning with a 24/10 ration of Ks to balls. Also David Cooper will have a return engagement this season as he tearing up Las Vegas hitting .375 (which is way better than when he first came up), 9 homers with 95 RBIs to go with 49 doubles and 60 walks to 40Ks so he may get playing time at first and Lind may get time to focus on hammering the ball as DH.

Finally Adam Loewen should be given a chance to get up to the big league as the Canadian from Vancouver, BC and was a fourth overall draft pick by the Orioles in the 2002 entree draft and has turned from being a pitcher when he made his Major League Debut on May 23, 2006 with the Orioles to now being an outfielder. He hit .305 (152 for 499) with 16 homers and 81 RBIs while have 44 doubles along with 3 triples to go with 57 walks compared 128 in 128 games.

Lets see if the Jays can have a better September than August
