Brett Cecil recalled by the Toronto Blue Jays

Brett Cecil has been brought back to the majors to make the start against the Pirates tomorrow and he was 8-2 in 12 starts with the Las Vegas 51s with a ERA of 5.26 and gave up 51 runs (46 earned) on 89 hits with 15 homers while striking out 61 batters and 24 walks and in the last 10 starts he has a ERA of 4.39 and 37 runs (33 earned) with 10 homers which means his first start with the ERA of over 21. While he also had other games where he gave up 8 runs in 3.1 innings and 5 earn runs in 6 innings in his last triple A while also having two complete games including a shutout so it has been a up and down roller coaster ride for Cecil with more ups than downs so it looks like a good time for Brett Cecil to get another start in the majors as it is the mid point of the season and it comes two days before his 25th birthday on Saturday.

While Zach Stewart had a great major league of 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings Debut but the two starts that followed were not so good as he gave up as he gave up 7 runs on 19 hits in 9.2 inning pitched so it was the most likely to go down because the only other choice is that Luis Perez go down and either Jo Jo or Carlos go back to the bullpen but right now both of them have been much better than Zach Stewart this season.
