Morrow is back but Bautista is gone again
In an O's romp 8-2 ovr the Jays the shining light was Brandon who pitched brilliantly for four innings and then was simply gassed if the fifth as battled at times and put the D in position to finish the job and that is where everything fell apart. He gave up 4 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits and was smoking the O's to the tune of 7 ks while still mastering the strike zone as he only walked one which was apart of him loading the bases and then getting out of it in the second as he struck out Manny Machado to end the inning. In the third he gave up two singles to start the inning and then got Nate McLouth to put a ball up for Jeff Mathis and then got Adam Jones to hit double play ball to new baby daddy Yunel Escobar who booted the ball badly and by the end of the inning the O's had tied the game up at 2. Morrow was unable to get out of the fifth inning as allowed the first two batters to collect hits and after another k Jays killer Adam Jones picked up a two-run double and now has 9 RBIs in 11 games against the Jays this season.
The Jays were only able to muster 4 hits off Steve Johnson over 6 innings in his second career start and really the only damage offensively was an Edwin Encarnacion two-run homer in the first inning and then everything went quiet as Johnson k'd 7 himself and walked two and the Jays were only able to collect 6 total hits all game. Omar Vizquel only two hits behind the babe for 40th overall on the hit total as he got two more hits and will get every opportunity to play down the stretch.
The Jays got some very bad news as Jose Bautista seems to have comeback to soon as he re injured his wrist and only took his first at bat and very much struggling Colby Rasmus who came into the game 3 for 40 at the plate and struck out 3 more times for 13 in his last 5 games.
Chad Jenkins had a very rough 6 inning as it was 4-2 going into the inning and he gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk in the inning and then settled down after given up three singles in the seventh as he retired the last 5 batters of the game but his 4 runs on 6 hits and two walks over 4.1 really blow open the game for the O's.
It maybe time to sit Jose as there is no point in rushing back
