Drew Hutchison finish til at least 2014

Drew Hutchison, the 23-young stud pitcher of the Blue Jays, after avoiding the worst it has happened once again for the third time this season a pitcher is heading to Dr. Andrews for the Tommy (John) surgery and will be sitting out the entire 2013 along side Luis Perez who had the surgery done during the all-star break and Kyle Drabek who had it done for the second time Monday after Hutchison went down. Drew and the Jays have been waiting since mid-June against the Phillies when Hutchison finished a horrible streak of 3 of 4 starters were sidelined with injuries for him to rehab with the hope of having him pitch in September but after a set back in his recovery it was decided to have the surgery. Drew will be out at least 18 month and at best he will be back after the all-star break in 2014 and it is a huge set back for Drew who in 11 starts with 5-3 with a 4.60 ERA but had figured out how to avoid the disaster inning hurt him in his early starts as he went at least 6 innings and gave up a run or less in 4 of 6 starts before he faced the Phillies on June 15. It is also a tough time for the Jays as they are still trying to get starting pitching like everybody else in the majors as they are putting J.A. Happ back into the starting rotation on August 7 and it is the first start since being traded to Toronto from Baseball-worst Houston Astros. Jays could of had Cliff Lee but decided to not do it and will need to go out and get a veteran pitcher who will not be a strong as Lee so bad decision Tom Mehegan
