Game 55 - 28 - 27 - Tribe get lots of extra base hits while the Jays did not put runs together

So the Jays came in to tonights game with 44 run scored in 4 innings and the Tribe who had won one of their last 4 games and in 3 losses the Tribe had only scored a single run.

Brandon Morrow was the starter for the Blue Jays and he had a bad time with extra base hits and then after strike out batters to minimize the damage as in the first inning the lead off hitter Michael Brantley doubled and then Morrow struck out the next 2 batter before a gound out to end the inning with no runs scores. In the second inning Carlos Santana and Grady Sizemore both doubled to open the inning to give the Tribe a 1-0 lead and then Morrow struck out the side and in the third inning the Tribe first three hitters got hits including a triple by Michael Brantley followed by two singles to make it 2-0 and then Morrow struck out Travis Buck which was followed by a sac fly by Carlos Santana to make it 3-0 and then Grady Sizemore struck out to end the inning. Then after an walk in the fourth in the fifth after 2 outs Morrow walked Travis Buck followed by 2 doubles by Carlos Santana and Grady Sizemore and it was 5-0 and then Orlando Cabrera singled home by Sizemore to make it 6-0. In the end Brandon Morrow gave up 6 extra base hits in the 9 hits he gave up in 5 innings and he struck out 9 batters of the 15 outs he got during his time on the mound.

While going into the 9 inning the Jays had only 9 singles and the only way the Jays scored their 2 runs before the ninth inning happened because of a throwing error by Orlando Cabrera that allowed Patterson to score and then a single by Juan Rivera drove in Bautista to make it 6-2 in the 7 inning but then the Tribe bullpen struck out 5 straight batters until Yunel Escobar homered to make it 6-3 but that is the closest the Jays got. Now the Tribe and Jays go into the rubber match with the Jays having Kyle Drabek (3-3, 4.16 ERA) Vs the Tribe's Josh Tomlin (6-2, 2.74 ERA).

The Jays need Drabek to control the strike zone to be able to win the rubber match
