Game 92 - 45 - 47 - The Blue Jays go into the all-star break on an extreme high

Brett Cecil sent the Indians into the all-star break battered and bruised as the Jays won 3 of 4 from them and if Frank Francisco had not completely gone nuts it would of been a complete sweep and the Indians pitching could not handle the Jays as they gave up 7 more runs today in a 7-1 Jays victory. The Jays outscored the second place Indians of the AL central 27-17 in the four game series and the Jays bats are heating nicely and the starting pitching as been out of this world recently so if the bullpen can come together and put up some good relief outings the Jays would be unbeatable.

Brett Cecil pitched 6 innings and gave up a run on 6 hits but his pitch count got really up there with the 3 walks up in his 6 innings he gave especially in the first inning when he loaded the bases with a pair of walks which was followed by a single but got out of the inning without given up a run. Brett Cecil's 6 Ks are a good sign heading into the all-star break on super high and hopefully comes back with a great performance after over a week off. Luis Perez pitched a couple of innings of 1 hit shutout ball with 2 Ks along with 2 walks and Jason Frasor finished things off with a 1 hit shutout ninth inning that also included a walk.

The Combo of Eric Thames and Jose Bautista were 5 for 9 with a homer and 4 RBIs as Eric Thames had his fourth career homer as in the third inning when Yunel Escobar singled and that was followed by a two-run homer to open the scoring and then Jose Bautista finished the scoring in the 6 inning with a two-run double before heading to Arizona for the all-star break as Johnny Mac played the last three and half innings of the game for him. The other 3 Jays runs came in the 5 run third inning as J.P. had a RBI single and Cory Patterson had a two-run ground rule double while the Indians got there only run when Jack Hannahan had a RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Blue Jays except for Bautista everyone else will have a break until the Jays face the Yankees starting a 4 game series at the Rogers centre starting on Thursday and lets see how the rest will effect the Jays (positively or negatively).
