Game 89 - Frank Francisco throws garbage as the Indians return from the parking lot to win the game

So after Jose Bautista hit a solo homer (29) in the top of the ninth which was the first hit for the big three of Thames, Bautista, and Lind the Jays went into the bottom of the inning up 3-0 and the Indians had only 6 hits going into their last chance and Frank Francisco came as he was warming up for a save opportunity and still came in and he mailed it in as he throw 11 pitches to the three batters he faced and gave up a single, a double, and finally finished with a walk to load the bases. Then Luis Perez came in and struck out Micheal Brantley for out one and then he gave up a RBI single to Asdrubal Cabrera which was followed by a hanger to Travis Hafner whose 8 homer of the season was a moon shot and it gave the Indians a 5-4 victory and the big question was why John Farrell sent Jason Frasor to the showers after facing one batter in the bottom of the eighth and got a double play to end the inning on 5 pitches and he should off been left on the bench just in case the Jays got a run in the ninth to make it a non save appearance for Frank Francisco.

So the Jays got a RBI single from Travis Snider who has done a nice job in his first four games back from Las Vegas and then in the fourth inning the Jays got a RBI single from J.P. and a RBI single from Rajai Davis to make it 3-0 Jays but they could of blown the Indians to Kingdom come as Eric Thames had the bases juiced and grounded out to end the inning.

So the Jays got a great from Carlos Villenuva who pitched 6 innings and gave up 6 hits and 2 walks while stiking out 7 and continues to be the third best Jays starter behind Romero and Morrow. It is a mystery to me why John Farrell has given Francisco opportunity after opportunity when even Jon Rauch was dismissed from the closer job almost immediately after having a perfect April or why nobody else has been given a chance like Rzpczynski or someone from the farm.

Lets hope the starting pitching continues to be good and lets hope Farrell can press the right button
