J.P. Atencibia is heading for the DL for 6 weeks

J.P. Arencibia after hitting a homer in three straight games and tonight in a disaster of a second inning where the A's tied their season high in runs in an inning with 8 and the only hit J.P. had tonight was being hit on the back of his right hand by Brandon Inge foul ball. He finished the nightmare inning behind the plate but Jeff Mathis lead off in his place to start the bottom of the second inning. J.P. will be on the 15-day DL as he will be out for six weeks with a fractured in his right hand so this will mean that the Jays will most likely be going strong with Jeff Mathis and it will be interesting what happens with Mathis catching Ricky Romero in Seattle on Monday as Ricky has been playing catch with J.P. for most of his career in the majors. After Ricky pitched 1.1 and gave 4 hits but also gave up two wild pitches along with 6 walks (one intentional) and gave up 9 runs and it maybe time to change things up as everybody is sitting red on the heat and not even looking at curve balls and it is hurting him and Mathis may have a different point of view on the situation. Injured Jays would be a strong team Tom Mehegan
