Brett Lawrie does his best Evil Knievel impression and pays for it

So Brett Lawrie in the third inning decided to do his best Evil Knievel impression when he went over to the camera bay off the bat of Nick Swisher and when he got to the camera bay he lean in and than then fell in with nobody around and fell hard. He was taken out of the game immediately for Yunel Escobar and Omar moved over to third and Lawrie was sent for x-rays and they came back negative and is out day6-to-day with a leg contusion. The Game did not start well for the Jays as Ricky Romero with a Derek Jeter double to lead off Nick Swisher found a hole in the D and Jeter scored and with Mark Teixeira up Romero got ahead of him 0-2 and could not put him away so on a 2-2 pitch he hammered a two-run homer to make it 3-0. Then with one out Rajai Davis decided to jump for Robertson Ceno ball that was hit to the wall and it turned out that Davis did not need to jump as he missed the ball completely and he would of been in perfect position to catch the ball if he did not jump for it and Cano got a double and scored on an Andrew Jones single and the Jays were down 4-0 after one. Ricky lost his control in the fourth and gave up a run with one out he went double, walk, double, walk and was helped by a double play ball to end the inning. In the sixth with one out he gave up a single to Jayson Nix and with two outs he gave up back-to-back hits score the sixth and final run of Romero who pitched innings and gave up 6 runs on 12 hits with 2 walks and 2 ks did not have his best stuff early. The Jays faced Hiroki Kuroda who came into the game in his last two starts given up 11 runs on 18 hits in only 13 innings but today he fooled the Jays bats on 4 hits over seven innings and only walk one and did not give up a run before the rains came in the bottom of the seventh. As thing go from bad to worse it looks like another lost season with the everyday shortstop and second baseman being shopped hard by AA Tom Mehegan
