Colby Rasmus smoking hot as Romero cools down the chisoxs

Colby Rasmus who costed Ricky Romero an unearned run in the first inning made up for it in spades all game long as he went 5 for 5 with the bat and walked home to score the Jays first run of the game in the game as Phil Humber through 37 pitches in the first inning and was his own worst nightmare walking three in the inning. In the fifth Colby put the Jays up for good as he launched a two-run homer to give the Jays a 3-1 lead and Cooper put the icing on the cake as he hit a two-run homer to cap a four-run fifth inning and Humber hit the shower as the Jays had a 5-1 lead after five and in the sixth against former Blue Jay Zach Stewart Colby had one of the four two out singles as he scored one of the two runs in the inning. In the eighth inning Colby doubled home a run and scored on a Jose Bautista sac fly and fell a triple away from the cycle and now is 12 for 24 in the two spot in the order along with it being a career high in hits it is also the 20th Blue Jay to collect 5 hits in a game which is one off Frank Catalanotto's 6 hits also against the White Soxs in Chicago. Colby ended up scoring 4 times and driving in three in the ball game but he was not only one happy about moving up in the order as Brett Lawrie was the Jays lead off hitter and went 3 for 5 and scoring all three times including a double and Lawrie and Rasmus had 8 of the Jays 13 hits in the game. The change in the batting was because Edwin Encarnacion was not ready to play tonight because of his bruised hand so Yunel moved down to clean-up and Kelly Johnson got the night off with his nagging injury. Ricky Romero after having two errors in the first inning the other by Rajai Davis costed him a run he set down 15 of 16 Chisoxs after A.J. Pierzynski lead off the second inning with a single and was rolling into the seventh inning with a 7-1 lead and then he meet A.J. Pierzynski again and throw him a pitched he immediately wanted back as it lands in the seats. Then he walked Orlando Hudson thanks to an error on Brett Lawrie is able to score another unearned run and then Ricky comes out to pitch the eighth and gives Adam Dunn a pitch he did not want to as he parks it into the seats for a solo homer. So in the end Romero pitches very well through the first sixth innings and then became very frustrated over his final inning plus a batter but still gives up 5 runs but only 3 earned on 6 hits as walked only one and k'd 4 over 7 plus innings and picks up his seventh win on the season in a 9-5 Jays win to open a week long road trip. Jays may have a new top of the order Tom Mehegan
