Eric Thames hit a ball onto Eutaw street but the O's still won

Eric Thames hit the ball onto Eutaw Street and it was a solo blast in the third inning to tie the game up at the time @ 1 after the O's scored a run in the first inning as Henderson Alvarez allowed the first three batters to reach base as he gave up a single, a double, and then a walk and scored their first run when Adam Jones grounded into a double play. Then Alvarez retired 8 of the next 9 batters only walking Wilson Betemit and then in the fourth inning with one out Matt Wieters hit a ball deep into the left field corner and Eric Thames ran along way as they had a defensive alignment focused on the right side of the field and Thames caught up to the ball and the ball hit his glove over the low wall at the same time as he ran into the wall and the ball went over the wall to give the O's a 2-1 victory and are now 3 and 1 against the Blue Jays. Alvarez retired 11 of his last 13 batters he faced as he only gave up two singles and only gave up 5 hits and two walks along with no Ks but had 15 ground balls for outs and only 5 fly ball outs and he still has only 1 win in his career of 14 starts and 9 quality starts. The Jays struggled to put together hits against the O's starter Tommy Hunter who only gave up three hits and three walks over 6 inning pitch and he throw 103 pitches and the bullpen two hits over the last three innings. Eric Thames had two of the Jays 5 hits in the game Tom Mehegan
