Aaron Sanchez is staying in the rotation for now

Aaron Sanchez is staying in the rotation for now and the Jays are introducing a 6-man rotation which may include Erik Kratz to blue jays fans as can help manage Russell Martin.

The Aaron Sanchez staying in the rotation situation it is simply that the Jays 25-man roster were ready to revolt and send the Jays going into dumpster. Yes they are professional but after the 2014 trade deadline Bautista was very pissed along with Casey Janssen and team mailed it in for the rest of that season and so far Russell Martin has voiced his displeasure and he probably not the only one. It is go to keep the team happy and Sanchez would not be happy in the bullpen (11-4, league best 2.71 era in 139.1 innings pitched this season). Lets be the real because the horse is out of the stable as no matter what Sanchez could have his arm implode next season either if he stays in the rotation  or if he is put in the bullpen. It may not matter because the team will be completely different may not be as competitive next season so right now Jays are hoping to not have a Stephen Strasburg situation shutting him down during a playoff run for the future and missed the playoff the next season.

The Jays have added Francisco Liriano to the rotation to give the rest of the rotation extra rest because Marco Estrada toughing it out putting so much more innings over the last two seasons and his arm and back have both been feeling it most of the season. While J.A. Happ is going to be pitching more innings than he has in other season and Marcus Stroman has already passed his high water mark. R.A Dickey is R.A. Dickey he simply eats up innings and has been having better pitched innings than most of his time in Toronto. Francisco Liriano has not been very good and hopefully the change of venue will help him pitch better and if the other pitchers can handle the extra rest and not hurt their performance  it maybe a great for them heading hopefully to the playoffs.

Erik Kratz hopefully be up before September 1 so he can be on the playoff roster (hopefully going to the playoffs) because he is a better replacement than Josh Thole. Let's be honest R.A. Dickey and his knuckleball will not see much action because the knuckler is so unpredictable.

GO JAYS GO,

TOM MEHEGAN
